The last greetings of my journey in UK. Finally the
semester is over and time for relaxing. Three weeks break couldn’t come in any
better time after all the stress and “hurry”. In conclusion for the studies in
Ambleside I could say that after a little bit rough start, the rest of the time
was actually very good and even enjoyable. The first anxiety and fear about 20
page essays turned not to be too far beyond my “academic skills”, so at this
very moment all the tasks is to be done (still waiting for some results).
After all, the time in Ambleside wasn’t just about
studying but also getting to know new people, cultures, doing wide range of
sports and finally started even working over the few last weeks. Of that thanks
goes to Sam and all other folks in three Cotswold Outdoor shops around the Lake
District. To clarify what really happened workwise, after a short random chat
with two Outdoor shop –masters I got an opportunity to see how the shops work
in UK and even more if there is any difference between the British and the
Finnish customers. Also got the opportunity to see the British way of doing
“Little Christmas” (firman pikkujoulut) party with Cotswolds and got to say
there is a slight difference between Finns and Brits in this case… Anyhow time
to thank you guys in Cotswold and hope to see you again!
Weatherwise I think the UK has been just too good.
Only the few last week’s have been a bit rainier but overall no complaints from
me, Aham if you’re reading this can you tell how it was from your
perspective..? ;)
Now excited to face new challenges in Oslo in January and even more to relax and just chill out over Christmas. Goal for Christmas is +4kg, promise to do my best. And btw it’s great to travel alone with 50kg luggage, good fun in public transport!
29.12. Doing well with the challenge of +4kg! See you in Oslo!!
